From 21 to 23 April 2026, Republic Polytechnic transformed into a vibrant festival ground as students filled the campus for one of the most anticipated events of the year. With over 70 interest groups showcased across campus, CCA Fiesta 2026 gave students a taste of the exciting opportunities waiting beyond the classroom.

A Campus Full of Energy

Stepping into campus felt like entering a whirlwind of music, laughter, chatter, and excitement.

Every corner of RP was buzzing with activity as interest groups (IGs) came out in full force to showcase what they do best. From sports clubs promoting their high-energy training sessions, to CREATE groups drawing crowds with live performances, to community and leadership IGs sharing meaningful causes, there was something for everyone.

Breaking the Ice

Freshmen were not just there to browse booths; they had plenty of chances to join in the fun too.

One activity that drew steady crowds came from the diploma-based SBZ Club, where students could create their own custom pins for free using a pin-making machine.

The activity also gave executive committee (EXCO) members a chance to introduce the club, share what it offers, and answer any questions from interested freshmen.

“It’s great to see all the freshies so enthusiastic,” said Alyssa Gan, a Year 3 Mass Communication student volunteer. “We’ve put in so much work, and they really seem to enjoy it.”

Moments like these helped break the ice and create connections between seniors and juniors—even over something as simple as making pins.

Performances, Pride, and School Spirit

Beyond the booths, live performances kept the atmosphere lively throughout the event. From music and dance showcases to spontaneous crowd interactions, there was never a dull moment.

Student volunteers also rallied support for their respective schools, proudly dressed in school colours and cheering with full spirit.

Students from School of Technology for the Arts, Media and Design, School of Infocomm, School of Business, School of Engineering, and School of Applied Science all brought their A-game, turning the campus into a spirited contest of who could cheer the loudest.

Loud, proud, and full of identity, they showed what it truly means to be part of the RP family.

More Than Just a Fiesta

At its heart, CCA Fiesta 2026 was about belonging.

It gave freshmen a glimpse into the vibrant student life waiting for them—one filled with friendships, passions, and unforgettable experiences.

With RP offering a wide range of CCAs across sports, arts, leadership, and more, the event was a reminder that polytechnic life is not only about grades, but also about discovering your people and finding your place.
